Our Staff

Marilyn FreedmanMarilyn Freedman, PT, DPT, CAPP, BCB-PMD™ has her clinical doctorate in physical therapy. She is certified in pelvic muscle dysfunction biofeedback and has completed a certificate of achievement in pelvic physical therapy through the women’s health section of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). Marilyn has over thirty years of experience in helping people resolve complex pelvic conditions. She has worked with men, women and children with pelvic pain, urological, obstetrical, gynecological and colorectal conditions. She is an adjunct instructor at area physical therapy schools. She lectures to professional colleagues and has contributed to several publications in her field of expertise. Her research interests include investigating conservative management of pelvic pain conditions.

Nechama KarmanNechama Karman, PT, MS, PCS is a PhD candidate at Seton Hall University's School of Graduate Medical Education and is board certified in pediatric physical therapy. She holds an advanced masters degree in orthopedic physical therapy. She holds a bachelors degree in athletic training. Nechama has extensive experience in manual physical therapy techniques as well as in neuromuscular interventions for individuals with orthopedic and neurological conditions. Her research in neuroplastic approaches to rehabilitation formed the basis for her approach to treating individuals with chronic pain syndromes. She has held full-time faculty appointments at local universities’ physical therapy schools, and has held clinical, education and research positions in NY.  She remains active in teaching at the university and continuing professional education levels. Her research interests relate to the efficacy of treatment approaches in pelvic physical therapy.
